We decided to create a second video of Angel's Knoll Park in downtown Los Angeles to raise awareness and help save the park.

This is the well known Angel's Knoll filming location from (500) Days of Summer. This is where Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) shares time with his girlfriend Summer (Zooey Deschanel) in Downtown Los Angeles. The site is notable because it's a rare grassy spot in a city known for glass & steel. It has been a favorite spot for LA residents & tourists since 2008; popular for
exercise and lunches not to mention the striking views of the historical Bunker Hill District of LA.

Angel's Knoll Park was closed & abandoned in July 2013. Three years later in 2016 it remains behind chain link fence. Noted as one of the last major real estate development sites on Bunker Hill, it is currently assessed at $10-$20 million. The land was formerly owned by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and now owned by a successor agency. Noted as one of the last green spots for Angelinos, there is a movement to keep the spot active as a park. Contact your local state congressman or city official to make your voice heard and "Save the Knoll". (1)
